Sam Maihack Office Hours: Mon-Thurs 10am-3pm “Mother’s Day” By Pastor Sam “Think of all the work that mothers do in raising their children. Mothers need to be celebrated!” And with that, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed May 9, 1914 the first Mother’s Day. He asked on that day that all give a public “thank you” to their own mothers and all moms everywhere. Echoing the Ten Commandments, Jesus commanded, “Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself”. (Matthew 19:19 NLT) During worship on Mother’s Day we will take time to follow President Wilson’s wishes. I look forward to blessing moms and motherhood.
