RE: Justification for Agenda Item - Funds Transfer
Dear Judge Cobos & County Commissioners:
I am requesting transfer of funds into travel due to the amount of funds allotted for FY
2009. That amount was $275.00. (Attachment "A") Courts are generally allotted
between S2500 and $8000. Specifically, the Family Courts have been budgeted in the
following manner:
65'" District Court - $8,043.00
383rd District Court - $6,000.00 (Attachment "B")388'" District Court-$ 275.00
The Auditors have explained because I failed to use a $2500 budget amount in FY 2008.
the budget automatically deletes any expended funds in the following budget year.
The budget transfer is requested in order to attend the Advanced Family Law Seminar
August 3 - 6, 2009, in Dallas, Texas. It is especially important to attend this year as there
are many important legislative changes anticipated which will affect the Family Courts.
Phis is request for a transfer, not a request for additional funds.
Your consideration and approval is appreciated.
Sincerely.
Iricia A. Macias
