Metal Gas Cutting and Heat Deflection 1. Steel Gas Cutting uses heat reaction of oxygen and steel. Melting by preheating gas and blow away by Oxygen and this is

oxygen cutting.

2. In the past, make preheating flame by mixing oxygen with propane or Acetylene but Gas alone preheat the parent metal

more than 800 C , and then oxidize steel by high pressure oxygen from center of tip at very high temperature. So sharp

and fast metal cutting is made

3. gas has a property to go straight and it makes heat deflection less and the less oxidized iron saving the loss of iron or

parent metal.

[Cutting principle]

Instead of LPG and pre-heated oxygen(low

pressure oxygen), Gas is used for the cutting

slabs.
