Customers can enjoy an extension of standard warranty period from one year to two years simply by completing an online registration within 14 days of purchasing a brand new camcorder. On the top of the standard warranty, the protection plan includes extra protection services. If the camcorder is lost in the first protection year due to burglary or robbery, customer only has to pay HK$800 for a brand new digital camcorder. In case the camcorder is damaged accidentally by thunder, fire or water within two years, Canon will provide repair service and will limit the service charges at HK$400 only.
