SBOE has authority over all aspects of the TEKS, including the revision process.

The SBOE approved a process for the review of TEKS (July 2008).

March 2009 - 2nd reading and final adoption of the proposed science TEKS

Final rule language will be published in the Texas Register soon.

Implementation of new science TEKS will occur in 2010-2011 school year.
