Geography Heves county is a

geographically diverse area; its northern part is mountainous(the Mátra and Bükk are the two highest mountain ranges in Hungary), while at south it includes a part of the Great Hungarian Plain.

Lake Tisza

Lake Tisza is also known as Kisköre Reservoir, and it is the largest artificial lake in Hungary. It is located at the southeastern edge of Heves county, next to counties Borsod-Abaúj-Zemlén, Hajdú-Bihar and Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok.

Bükk National Park The Bükk National Park is a national park in the Bükk Mountains of

Northern Hungary, near Miskolc. It was founded in 1976 as the third national park of the country. It contains 431.3 km² (of which 37.74 km² is under increased protection). It is the largest national park of the country with mountains and forests, situated in the Northern mountains. The most important sights include the various karst formations of the limestone mountains: caves that used to be inhabited by pre-historic men, swallow-holes, ravines.

Bélapátfalva abbey

Bélapátfalva is a town in Heves county, Hungary, north of Eger. The site of the best preserved Romanesque church building in Hungary.

Castle and City of Eger Eger is a city in northern

Hungary, the county seat of Heves, east of the Mátra Mountains. Eger is best known for its castle, thermal baths, historic buildings (including the most northern Turkish minaret), and red and white wines.

Hatvan, Grassalkovich mansion

The two-storey detached, baroque style palace was built in the first half of the 18th century by Antal Grassalkovich from the ruins of the medieval castle walls and bastions.

Kisnána castle Kisnána is a village in Heves county, Hungary,

located 25 kilometres from Gyöngyös to the northeast. There is a castle in the village that was built in the 11th or 12th century.

Noszvaj, De la Motte mansion The palace, was built between 1774 and 1778, has

the internal and external appearance and ornaments, typical of the time of Louis the 16th in Hungary. The beautiful park around the palace is full of rare trees and bushes.
