THE LEGEND OF LA TOJA DONKEY
The Legend says that a priest from O Grove had a sick donkey and left it on the
island because he couldn’t bring himself to put it down. Later he decided to go
and see what had happened to it and he found the animal cured and healthy.
After a great deal of research he concluded that the donkey’s remedy and
salvation were the waters of La Toja.
