Dear Cattlemen, Cattlewomen and Youth:

This year the state Hereford Association with the energy and assistance from the Pennsylvania Junior Hereford Association decided it was time to print another membership directory. If you are reading this, I hope you enjoy reading the directory with the ads and listings of all the current members in the Association. Thank you to the Junior Association leadership for pulling this together and making it happen. It’s so rewarding when everyone works together as a team.

If you are not a member in the Pennsylvania Hereford Association, it’s not too late and it’s not difficult. Either contact one of the PHA directors listed in this directory or send $35 with your contact information to J.P. Hausner, Treasurer, at 5807 W. Canal Road, Thomasville, PA 17364. I think this is not only a great investment in your state breed association, but you get several benefits such as a newsletter, a field day, an opportunity to consign to the state sale next year, a PA Hereford Association website and a free listing in the directory which is handed out at a number of livestock events and agriculture events throughout the year. The PHA also sponsors a display and booth at the annual Ag Progress Days every year in August. Numerous directories are also mailed to anyone looking to buy Herefords throughout the year. We need everyone to become a member, not just to collect your $35 but more importantly, to build a strong support base to promote and market Hereford cattle as a smart choice of anyone wanting to buy cattle. Pennsylvania has always been regarded as a great source of Hereford cattle and together our members can make this continue by supporting their organization.

If you want the best Herefords, I encourage you to call or visit any of the advertiser breeders or any of the members listed in this directory. I think you’ll not only find what you are looking for, but I’d venture to say you will likely make a life-long friend, one that will step up to help you whenever you have a question or just need someone to listen.
