I do not have the words to express how humbled I was to hear that this church gave $88,905, last Sunday! What a tremendous sacrifice and display of generosity by each and every member! What a wonderful demonstration of a love for souls and the preaching of the glorious Gospel! What loyalty to God and this church, and a commitment to our missionaries and to sending people on short-term missions, which will bless both others and this church. Even though “thank you” is not enough, “thank you”! “To God be the glory, great things He has done”! This past Wednesday night, this church was again blessed when our boys and girls in training led Peak of the Week. Our children’s ministry, partnering with many of our fabulous teachers, used the theme “King of My Heart” to equip our boys to lead prayer, read scripture, and preach the Word of God, while 34 of our girls and boys brought to life Biblical based values through skits and puppets. I have also heard great things about the girls’ presentations at the recent Ladies Garden Party. A visitor commented to me how blessed this church is to have so many children and I say, “amen”! Bevin, thank you for investing in our precious children; and parents, thank you for what you are doing at home to make sure that Jesus is King of their hearts. This morning, we will honor and pray over all of our graduates. Graduation is an exciting time for families, and a great milestone for seniors. It is our prayer that each graduate who has been a part of this church has been equipped to live as salt and light Christians, passionately loving and serving God and others wherever they go.
