“Hope, Growth, Change, Recovery”
The Community Consultation Center is a branch of the Henry Street Settlement that was created in 1946 to help the ever expanding need for mental support in the immigrant community of the lower east side. More than simply a hospital, the CCC is a place where individuals and families without other support can find help finding jobs, dealing with the stress of a new country, and find medial care which is affordable in their new country.
The CCC in the Immigrant Community“The CCC's multi-ethnic staff of professionals provides services in English, Spanish, three dialects of Chinese, Italian, Sicilian, and German. The belief in the emotional recovery for all consumers is the underpinning for all clinical services. This conviction generates hope and a partnership with consumers for recovery.”
-Henry Street Settlement – Asian Bi-cultural
Services
Recognizing the increasing unmet mental health needs of the expanding immigrant Asian population, the Community Consultation Center (CCC) clinic formalized in 1997 an Asian Bi-Cultural unit.
