• A true Wedge Pressure is measured ONLY when blood

flow stops

• A Wedge pressure is confirmed if:

- Characteristic waveform is present and mean is lower than mean PA

- 02 Sat is greater than 95%

- Angiographic confirmation of a wedge position with no flow
