You are still alive. Your place is here,in this world, with those who remain and love you.

Know that their pain has passed, except for how it lives in your memory.

You are the one in pain now. It is best to lovingly care for your wounds.

You may be disoriented, depressed and forgetful.

These things are normal with grief and will pass.

Denying sadness denies healing.

By letting your heart break you let your heart heal.

Guilt and grief can take many forms,

but few of us know exactly

what to do in the face of the

death of a loved one.

You may hear their sounds and see them in the shadows.

and your heart will break,

You will forget they are gone and then remember again…

one more time.

You may experience anger and rage,

and you may want to blame someone.

Find help to manage these strong emotions.

Some deaths are untimely, violent and complicated – leaving behind difficult and unresolved issues.

There is peace in letting go of what you cannot control.

Ordinary things may strike you as amusing, embrace laughter when and where you can.

You may have to ask for what you need and others may need to know. Reach out for the hand of a friend.
