DONOR LEVELS It began with an idea and lots of hope. What could be done with this tired, worn out old building that had housed so many of the community s greatest moments. The auditorium was in tough shape. The floors, walls, bathrooms and kitchen were all in need of our immediate attention. The project was massive and our resources were limited to say the least. We decided to take our idea, and present it to all of you in hopes that you too felt this old relic was worth saving. The following week your donations came pouring in from all over the United States. The work began in full force with the individual efforts of our volunteers, electricians, plumbers, carpet layers, and floor repairers. When the dust settled the renovations were nearly complete. The transformation is stunning. Our committee is again asking for your help with a few remaining projects Next year, Garden County will celebrate its 100 th year Centennial Anniversary. Massive plans are in the works for the biggest celebration that Garden County has ever seen. It is also expected to be the largest attended Alumni Banquet in history with hundreds expected for the banquet and dance on the Fourth of July weekend. The Auditorium will again be the sparkling centerpiece that serves as host to yet another grand occasion. In honor of your visit we hope to finish what we started two years ago. We Are Almost There! • Damaged front façade and chipped sidewalk • Broken crank windows in the kitchen and social room • Small cooling system for the kitchen that becomes a virtual oven in the summer months during events • Repair the falling and broken plaster in the storerooms • Painting The Auditorium, after these projects are finished will have undergone a total transformation from head to toe.
