Ours is an

independent

company, owned by

it's founders - three

friends on a mission to

start the organic food

movement in their

home country.

harmonica started

with two farmers, a

few friends and 50

cows

in the Bulgarian

mountains.

harmonica is majority owned by a woman - Magdalena Maleeva, a former top 4 in the world tennis champion. Maggie is also known for her environmental activism.

we started in 2006 with

one yogurt (the 1st organic yogurt made

and sold in Bulgaria).

Lactobacillus Bulgaricus,

the famous probiotic culture found in Bulgarian yogurt in 1905 and related to longevity in our lands. We still use it today in our dairy products.

This is our dairy plant near Sofia, the

capital of Bulgaria, an EU member

country. This is where we’ve been

making our delicious yogurt for over a

decade. Today we make more than 140

products, in several categories.

we always strive for great taste, high quality and being a benchmark for a more responsible approach, to be embraced by the entire community.

Our organic cow farms that supply our milk have been raised with the help of а

Swiss government program.

organic farming methods, the exceptional attention to quality to preserve

the proud locals of these lands like the chunky tomato and pepper goodness called Lyutenitsa or the weird but cult, fermented rye drink - Boza.

harmonica aims to be an

environmentally friendly, resource

minimizing and waste managing in

all aspects of our business. The goal of

curbing waste has led us to track the entire

path of garbage at the places where we work

and to organize a waste flow that ensures

minimum damage.

aimed at aiding the socially disadvantaged.

Environmental protection is naturally close

to our hearts, hence a great deal of our

activism goes in that direction, where

activities range from cleaning rivers and

mountains to urban gardening. Other

causes harmonica supports are

biodiversity, soil protection, life close to

nature.

Оur people are keen volunteers. harmonica

has a policy of supporting this - employees

are encouraged to do volunteering in paid

working hours - a day monthly.

athletes. Quite often sport helps us

to continue, to cope, to make decisions.

harmonica is a cherished supporter of VITOSHA 100, the annual 2-day bike and running marathon

at the foot of the mountain “hugging” Sofia. Our station is there for the 2K+ participants
