Japanese people tend to tell white liesthis is because they are considerate to the balance ofharmony in the environment. They tell white lies to avoidupsetting or making a situation negative or bad forany parties involved.

Japanese people classify relationshipsPeople in different relationship classfications are treatedvery differently. Someone whom is considered an outsidertends to be treated very politely and formally, such as asuperior or colleage. To some degree they will also bepatronised out of being polite.

Japanese people split their personalityThere are two types of ‘self ’. ‘Honne’ is of their true feelings anddesires. These may be contrary of what is expected of them inSociety and Socially. ‘Tatemae’ is the a facade, the behavior andopinions one display in public..
