Hello Super Stars!
I hope all is well with you and your families and that you enjoyed the warm and
sunny days last week.
How are you getting on with your theme parks? It's quite an exciting project,
isn't it? I know that all of you have the most amazing and inventive ideas and
are great at using your imagination. This is a fabulous opportunity to show off
your skills and let your imagination run wild! I can't wait to see your theme park
plans, pictures or models - I KNOW you are going to come up with something
wonderful and marvellous!!
I hope that you are enjoying your reading at home and are remembering to log
in to your Nessy and My Maths as often as possible. These activities will really
help you, Super Stars!
Well, I have some news - last Friday I adopted a lovely cat from the RSPCA. I
have named him Monty and he is such a super boy! He was very shy and
frightened to begin with but it didn't take him long to make himself at home, as
you will see from the photos!
I miss you all so much and truly can't wait to see you again.
Lots and lots of love,
Mrs. Fewell x x x

I will be back to NAG you some more, SOON!
So, enough about us…. How is your Home Learning going?
The Haven Learning Quest- Go Pickle Power! (Mrs Fewell )
We asked you to create and record a journal, diary or scrapbook, of all the leaning you have been doing at home.
How is this going? We can’t wait for you to be able to share your Home Learning Journals with us.
We asked you to have a go at making a Time Capsule!
How is this going? Have you managed to fill your Time Capsules yet?
For the
Summer Term we thought it might be fun to Create our own Theme Parks
How are YOU doing with YOURS?
As Teachers, we couldn’t resist joining in the fun and creating a Theme Park of our own.
We decided to work together to see what WE could come up with.
Here are some of OUR ideas.
Step 1. What could the ‘theme’ for your Theme Park be?
We are SO looking forward to finding out what ideas
YOU have come up with!
WE decided to create a Theme Park based on the book Alice in Wonderland
written by Lewis Carroll
Have YOU read the book? Have YOU seen the movie?
We are going to explore the book together, in the Autumn Term, so you might enjoy reading the book or watching the movie,
with your families, before we return to school.
Step 2. What could you call your Theme Park?
We asked you to think about how you could use alliteration to add impact to your Theme Park name.
Here are a few of OUR ideas!
Mrs Fewell’s Idea
ALICE’S FANTASTICAL WORLD OF WONDER AND ADVENTURE
Miss Beck’s Ideas
Go Wild in Wonderland
Alices Awesome Adventures
Wacky Wonderland
Weird and Wonderful Wonderland
Miss Wilson’s Ideas
Alice’s Adventures Down the Rabbit Hole
Mrs Field’s Idea Wildly Wondrous Wonderland World
Step 3.
Design your Theme Park
We asked YOU to think about the different attractions you would have in YOUR Theme Park.
We also asked YOU to think about names for each of YOUR attractions
WE had a think about what we might include in OUR Alice in Wonderland Theme Park
Here are some of OUR ideas!
Miss Wilson
Caterpillar Currents
Log flume
looks like a
caterpillar.
Caterpillar is
very stubborn
and mean so be
careful, he
only likes to go
his way around
the flume!
A water ride, going through bumpy water,
whirlpools, big slides and getting very wet!!
Rabbit Rush
Catch Rabbit!! Make your way
through the maze to get to the
end to catch up with the Rabbit.
Look out for exotic flowers and
mushrooms along the way. But
be careful don’t get lost! Rabbit doesn’t like being LATE!
Mrs Fewell
Teatime Tempest River Ride Navigate fountains of tea, erupting
unexpectedly from a Tempest of Tea Pots!
Mrs Field
Jabberwocky’s Forest of Fear (Paintball Attraction)
Can you use the Emerald or Ruby Sword of Salvation, wisely,
to make it through the Forest of Fear?
Mrs Field
Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum’s
Emerald Sword
Green Paint Ruby Sword
Red Paint
Mad Maze!
Miss Beck
Mad Hatter’s Bubble Blast!!
This week, we would like you to...
…Create an Advertising Poster for your Theme Park
Remember…
Alice’s Awesome
Adventures
For the experience of a life-time
at the BEST Theme Park in
Europe!
Come and join us for the MOST
FUN you EVER dreamed
You won’t want to leave!!
Have you used alliteration to add
impact? ?
What is your Theme Park’s name?
Don’t forget to include a picture of your Theme Park?
Think about which wow words would
be best to persuade people
to come?
Have you used superlatives
(exaggeration) to add impact?
We are thinking about you and looking forward to seeing you again, soon.
We are still a Learning Family even though we aren’t at school and we are always here for you
and each other.
Learning is something we can do all day in all kinds of different ways.
Please try to read and practise your times tables EVERY day!
STAY SAFE, especially on the INTERNET.
Enjoy creating your Theme Parks and we will be in touch again soon!
