A few months ago we shared our interest in partnering with
Bronxworks to host a small (5-bed) weekly overnight shelter in
the Bayit on Tuesday nights. After much work on the details of
the program, we are ready to approve and launch this
program. The community is invited to an information session
on Tuesday, June 12th, 7:15-8:15pm, with BronxWorks
Director of the Adult Homeless Services Department, Noel
Concepcion, our liaison for the shelter. You can learn more
about how the shelter works and its standards as well as how
to volunteer. Please join us.
HIR requires a written contract for the rental of its facilities. If you would like to rent space in the shul, or if you believe that you have reserved the Bayit for your simcha but have not been contacted regarding the new contract, please contact Richard at
[email protected]. Only reservations that accompany a signed contract and the required deposit will be maintained.
