The load machine and its components must drive very high-torque engines, and with lower and lower inertia. Now, responsiveness approaches that of the engine, compared to a ratio of 4 in the past. This means heavy stress on the shafts and the bearings.
To respond to this challenge, D2T has two advantages: a long design experience in dynamometers and a knowledge of shafts and ball bearings design drawn from aerospace.
