TANGRA is specialized in the field of ventilation, heating and air conditioning equipment and HVAC engineering. The company was recovered in 1989 by Dipl. Eng. July Armianov. His father has founded the commercial and production company TANGRA-Lazar Armianov in the late 1930’s. After WW II the company was nationalized by the government and private business was forbidden in Bulgaria till 1989.

Today TANGRA employs approximately 140 people and has industrial facilities with total floor area around 5000 sq. m. The company uses highest class of production equipment and qualified specialist.

In the portfolio of the enterprise are also HVAC design bureau, R&D department and HVAC laboratory, installing and service teams, 3 commercial centers in Bulgaria and wide sales and service network in Europe.

TANGRA is company with a sense of the typical values of the family-run corporations. July Armianov and Ivan Armianov are in charge of the business and management of the enterprise. TANGRA is run in constant striving for dvelopment of energy efficient equipment and projects, innovation, and last but not least - maintaining high quality standards.

Certificates and Awards

In all activities of TANGRA, a Quality Management System ISO 9001 is implemented. In addition, the management, the production and engineering have constant policy of improvement of products and services, in order to increase the satisfaction of our customers.

Based on the expertise and customer service we offer, TANGRA energy recovery ventilation units are equipped with supreme energy efficiency components. These machines are installed in buildings passing sustainability assessment and rating programs like BREEAM, LEAD, EDGE etc.

Being motivated to minimize the impact on environment, TANGRA has implemented Environmental Management System ISO 14001. All processes are considered and we work to minimize our energy consumption, waste and carbon footprint.

TANGRA is the first corresponding member of Eurovent Association from Bulgaria. Contributing to Eurovent’s activities in the area of EU legislation, standardisation, and industry promotion, increasing awareness on European Union Ecodesign legislation in Bulgaria.

Our company is a member of the Bulgarian Machine Building Chamber and Dipl. Eng. July Armianov is a member of the management board of the chamber. The company is also F-Gas certified for working with different refrigerants.

TANGRA is a member of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber and is listed in the Central Professional Register of the Builders performing building in all categories from Ist to Vth.

Eurovent Certita Certification has tested and certified the series of standard and hygienic air handling units produced by TANGRA. TANGRA AHU Modular range is designed for air volumes between 3000 and 70000 m3/h.

DEDAL Attestation and Cerification tested and certified our Smoke and heat control systems. Annual audits are performed to guarantee the highest quality of our smoke duct systems.

Our air handling units are tested for the housing characteristics and performance by TUV Rheinland. The testing standards certify the AHUs according to EN 1886, EN 13053, EN 13779, VDI 6022, DIN 1946, etc.

High efficiency plate heat exchangers air to air produced by TANGRA are also certified by Eurovent Certitia Certification in 2018. Software for precise calculation is available for download on our web site.

The complete range of pellet boilers and air heaters/ coolers, produced by TANGRA are tested for performance and characteristics by TUV Rheinland. The excelent parameters are confirmed by the results for both ranges.

All products of TANGRA comply with the applicable EU directives, regulations, laws and are marked with CE according to 2006/42/EC. Ecodesign directives are implemented. Heat recovery systems and air handling units conform with directives 1253/2014 & 1254/2014, as well as with directive 2009/125/EC.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENTA team of qualified specialists is in charge with new products development, including material design, production and implementation. We are in constant contact with our partners in Europe and develop new products to meet their needs.

HVAC DESIGN BUREAUExperiensed engineers are responsi-ble for the design of HVAC systems and for project management. The regular professional trainings allow TANGRA to be on the forefront of the actual norms and legislation and to provide optimal finan-cial and energy efficient solutions.

Heat recovery units range

HVAC AcademyBased on the years of experience and constant desire for improvement, the company has developed TANGRA HVAC Academy. New products and solutions, technical trainings, legislation changes and increased knowledge of technicians, engineers and specialists in the HVAC area are the main focuses of TANGRA Academy.

HVAC SoftwareTANGRA has developed and provides free of charge selection software for heat recovery ventilation, plate heat exchang-ers and air handling units. Software tools help engineers, partners and customers in precise and easy calculations in their work in front of customers, investors and stake holders.

INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONINGOur installation team is focused on the execution of HVAC systems, providing all services and takeing care of execution of mechanical works, according to a sched-ule, providing on-site tests and integra-tion of the HVAC systems with building management system (BMS). Startup and precise tuning after all construction and installation activities are also provided.

INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISEOur production facilities are equipped with specialized industrial machines for manufacturing of air handling units and heat recovery ventilation, centrifugal fans and accessories, pellet boilers and air heaters, ventilation grilles and diffusers, ventilation elements and air ducts.

SERVICE AND MAINTENANCEPost-installation, periodic checks and preventive maintenance visits help to extend the life of the HVAC equipment. TANGRA`s dedicated helpdesk provides short response time, remote service help and wide stock of spare parts, remote monitoring of the HVAC systems.

COMMERCE AND EXPORTTANGRA has own retail centers in Bulgaria – Sofia, Varna and Bourgas and a wide distribution network. Our sales support team of HVAC engineers help customers in making the right choice. Variety of HVAC products are exhibited in our shopping halls. TANGRA is export-ing own production and has partners in more than 15 countries in Europe.

EVB range consists of eight models of units, separated in thitrteen sizes, differing in construction, type of installation and functionality. Air volume ranges between 100 and 6200 m3/h and efficiency, measured in accordance with EN 308 is above 79%.All counter-flow heat exchangers, which are incorporated in the EVB units are EUROVENT Certified.

1. Construction Heat recovery units TANGRA EVB HiE are produced in compact or modu-lar construction with aluminum anodized framework with two types of side panels:- Single panel with internal sound and thermal insulation (13mm)- Double wall panels (sandwich type) with 25mm sound and thermal insulation.

2. Air filters (EN779 / ISO16890)All heat recovery units TANGRA EVB are with incorporated filters for fresh and exhaust air. The standard filters are panel or mini-pleat M5÷F7 (EN779) or ePM1÷ePM2.5 (ISO16890). On request additional filters can be added after the unit in a filter box with fan, due to pressure drop and needed available free static pressure from the unit.

3. Antifreeze protection / pre-heater (option)Due to high efficiency of the heat exchanger in winter conditions the air flow can lead freezing and ice blockage of the exchanger. In order to prevent it an electric heater for anti-freeze protection of the fresh is in-corporated in the units. It turns on automatically based on the conditions and is smoothly controlled to minimize the consumption. 4. By-pass (Regulations EU 1253 and 1254)Automatic bypass damper with servomotor actuator that allows free cool-ing in summer mode (without heat recovery) or variable control when mixing section is in use.

5. Heat exchanger (Eurovent cetrified)All heat recovery units TANGRA EVB are with high efficient plate heat ex-changer and heat recovery coefficients exceeding 79% (EN308). No odors or moisture transfer between the streams. The plate heat exchangers in TANGRA EVB are certified by Eurovent Certita Certification S.A.S.

6. FansHeat recovery units TANGRA EVB are equiped with 2 different types of centrifugal fans. The fans are marked on every graph, based on the electric motors: AC or EC/EC+ . - The units with AC are with centrifugal fans with forward blade wheel - economic solution with easy variable control on the voltage. - The units with EC/EC+ are with high performance radial freewheel impeller and IE5 EC motors.

7. Electric boardTANGRA EVB are plug and play solution. Their intelligent control systems allow quick and easy commissioning. The state of art controls have BMS connection or control through internet (Modbus, BACnet, etc.). TANGRA control systems can be equipped with wall mounted remote LCD display. Sensors for constant flow or pressure, CO2, VOC or rH.

8. Thermal boxTANGRA EVB HiE can be equipped with an external module with integrated water heating coil or DX coil for connection with outdoor VRF. Removable mist eliminator is on request.

9. Multi-leaf dampers (option)Aluminum louver dampers for tightly closing of the inlets and outlets with external servomotor actuator. Tightness category 2 to EN 1751.

10. Flexible joint (option)Rectangular flexible joint for easy connection to ventilation ducts and eliminating all the vibrations between the unit and the duct system.

11. Round connector Round connectors designed for direct connection to spiral ventilation ducts.
