and complex organs.
As the sound enters the ear canal, it travels into the
middle ear where it contacts the eardrum.
You should take great care to protect the eardrum since it is the primary line of defense against
damage to the inner ear.
Sometimes the eardrum can
become ruptured from loud noises,
pressure or an accident.
The sound is then transferred to the inner ear which features a very complex and
sensitive organ called the cochlea.
The cochlea is especially
sensitive as the sounds are
converted by tiny hairs within
the organ.
The best thing you can do to avoid hearing
loss is to protect your
hearing.
