AFFIL IATED HOSPITALS
Licensed for more than 1,500 beds, Jackson Memorial
Hospital is a teaching hospital for the University of Miami
Miller School of Medicine. It is home to many affiliated UM
and Jackson programs, including the Ryder Trauma Center
and the Miami Transplant Institute.
Holtz Children’s Hospital is one of the largest children’s
hospitals in the southeastern United States. Staffed by UHealth/
Miller physicians, Holtz Children’s Hospital specializes in
research and treatment for a wide range of pediatric medical
specialties, including pediatric diabetes, bone marrow transplan-
tation, cardiology, infectious disease/immunology, allergies,

D I R E C T I O N SThe UHealth/Miller medical campus is located in the area just north of downtown Miami. The following directions will bring you to the main access point to the campus, at the intersection of NW 12th Avenue and
NW 14th Street. From there, you can proceed to a parking facility.
FROM THE NORTH
Take I-95 South. Exit on SR-836 West. Exit SR-836 West on
NW 12th Avenue. Make a right on NW 12th Avenue. Continue north.
FROM THE SOUTH
Take I-95 North. Exit on SR-836 West. Exit SR-836 West on NW 12th Avenue. Make a right on NW 12th Avenue. Continue north.
FROM THE WEST
(Including Miami International Airport)
Take SR-836 East and exit at NW 17th Avenue. Go north on NW 17th Avenue (a right turn). Cross the bridge and take the first right onto NW North River Drive. Continue straight on NW North River Drive through a slight right turn at the second
traffic light. The next light is NW 12th Avenue and 14th Street.

University of Miami Hospital Main building on NW 12th Avenue at 15th Street
University of Miami Hospital West building on NW 14th Street, between 12th and 14th Avenues
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center on NW 12th Avenue, north of 14th Street
University of Miami Hospital and Clinics on NW 12th Avenue at 15th Street
Bascom Palmer Eye Institute on NW 17th Street, west of 9th Avenue
Jackson Health System Diagnostic Treatment Center on NW 19th Street, east of 12th Avenue
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATIONThe Metrorail Civic Center Station is adjacent to the medical center and within walking distance to any building on campus. In addition, the Miami Trolley provides a number of stops around campus and connects with Metrorail. The medical center is also serviced by Metrobus routes. the South Florida community. The 100-acre
medical campus in Miami’s Health District
houses UHealth/Miller’s flagship hospital,
University of Miami Hospital, and its two
specialty hospitals: Bascom Palmer Eye
Institute and Sylvester Comprehensive
Cancer Center. It is also home to Jackson
Memorial Hospital, Holtz Children’s Hospital,
and the Miami VA Healthcare System.

Healthcare System. The Miami VA Healthcare System has
provided general medical, surgical, and psychiatric services for
our country’s veterans since 1968.

UHEALTH SHUTTLE BUSIt’s easier than ever to visit UHealth physicians. Park at the Clinical Research Building garage (1120 NW 14th Street) for $4 (half the regular price), then ride the air-conditioned shuttle bus. The bus driver will validate your parking ticket. UHealth shuttles go to University of Miami Hospital, Schoninger Research Quadrangle, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, and University of Miami Hospital and Clinics. They run approximately every 10 minutes and stop at designated entrances. This service is free of charge and operates between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Friday.
