Brazilian Keratin treatmentChemical hair straightening has soared in popularity over the past decade and the process has improved remarkably during its spell in the limelight. Brazilian Keratin Treatment transforms curls and frizz into silky, straight hair with plenty of volume and shine. It is the newest method available to eradicate curl from the hair, and is considered revolutionary by some.

It’s considered revolutionary because, unlike any other chemical hair straightening process available, the results are temporary. The effect washes away gradually and your natural hair texture will return. And... it’s not damaging to the hair and can be done on hair that has been chemically treated. The process costs less than permanent hair straightening and takes a fraction of the time.

How it works:

• An active keratin solution is applied to the hair. Keratin is the protein that forms the structure of hair.

• After the solution is applied, it is fused onto the outer layer of the hair with a 450° flat iron.

• This adds strength to the hair and seals in moisture, resulting in silky, smooth hair.

Typically, results last 3 months (on non-virgin hair). The treatment can be done on chemically treated hair. In fact, it actually works best on hair that has been chemically treated in some way. Virgin hair (hair that hasn’t been chemically treated or colored) requires a cuticle opener before the Brazilian hair straightening treatment in order for it to work properly. Even with a cuticle opener, the results won’t last as long on virgin hair (around 2 months). If you do color your hair, it’s best to have it colored right before the treatment. This will help to equalize the porosity of your hair from roots to ends so that the treatment has the most uniform effect possible.

While we all buy our fair share of budget-friendly casual wear at department stores, if you’re looking for business attire, or for an outfit to wear for a special occasion, then you need to look for, and recognize high-quality clothing.

It can be tempting to buy cheap clothing. Clothing retailers have mastered the art of offering low-quality but still reasonably cool clothes. And whether we’re in a recession or not, it’s hard to resist a $20 trench coat. But think about this for a moment: How much quality can you really get with a $10 dress? How long is that $15 sweater really going to last you? The answer is “not long.”

My point here is that cheap clothing isn’t really that cheap at all. You might be getting a bargain at first, but it’s not going to last over the long haul.

Knowing how to spot well-made dresses, skirts, suits, blouses, slacks, shoes, and other wearable items, will not only help you buy distinctive dress clothes. It will also assure that you’re getting value for your money.

FABrIC | Inspect the fabric whether the garment be cotton, gauze, silk, linen, wool, or velvet. The fabric should have been cut and sewn on the grain. Patterns and stripes should match all over the garment. Not run against each other. The fabric should also hold its shape fairly well if you grab a handful of it, bunch it together, then let it loose. Natural materials are also a better better than their polyester counterparts. They breathe better, they look better and they feel better.

SeAMS | Grab the fabric at the seams with both hands. Gently pull it. If the thread in the seams pulls apart a bit, they’re not sewn properly. The seams should be reinforced and the thread should hold securely. The edge of seams and hems of a high-quality garment are always sewn straight. They are also “finished”. They are never left

“raw”. This special application prevents the seams from unraveling. Seams and hems should also be pressed so they lie flat.

HeMS | If a garment has a hem that’s at least two inches wide, that’s another indication you are buying the best clothing available. Wide hems allow the clothing to be easily altered, if need be.

FASTeNerS | Any buttons, hooks, et cetera, on the dress, skirt, suit, blouse, slacks, et cetera, should be sewn on securely. Check the garment for loose buttons and other fasteners. The button holes in a high-quality garment are often bound with thread for durability. Zippers should also move freely up and down without hesitation.

TrIM | Any trim that a high-quality piece of clothing has should be sewn on securely. Gently pull on the trim at different places to test it. The trim should also complement the garment in color and in style.

LININGS | No matter what type of fabric the linings in suits, blazer, and jackets are made of, the material should be dense and opaque. If the lining was properly sewn into the garment, it will not be tight. Instead, it will hang with a bit of give so it doesn’t rip or tear.

SHoeS | The best quality shoes are, of course, made from leather. Don’t always trust the look, though. There are many types of fake leather that look like the real thing. Always check the tags on the shoes. Also, check the seams to make sure they are sewn straight. emblems, designs, and other trim should be securely attached to the shoe too.

HANDBAGS | Choose thick materials such as leather or heavy canvas to ensure durability and a long life. Check the straps and attachments. Look for seams that are consistent and secure. Test zippers and clasps to ensure that they function properly.Inspect the lining. Check the inside or the side pockets for any holes or crooked seams. Check for crocking, or color rub-off. examine any decorative trim such as beads, embroidery, iron appliqués or sequins. ensure that there are no cracks, chips, splits or unsecured attachments.
