The goals of our wellness program are to decrease the risk of disease and to enhance the quality of life of our employees. For this reason, insured employees can parcipate in the LCIC Wellness Points Bank. You can earn points by parcipang in a variety of health and wellness acvies. When you earn enough points in your bank, you will be eligible for an incenve of $150. The LCIC Wellness Points Bank program will start on September 1st, 2013 and run through August 1 st , 2014. Each acvity you parcipate in will earn you points. You must earn 450 points in order to receive your $150 incenve. Parcipaon in this program is completely voluntary; however employees must follow the steps outlined in order to be eligible for the 2014 incenve. All acvies must be completed by August 1 st , 2014. Checks will be cut quarterly. If you meet all criteria then you may receive your check before the school year 2014-15. Dining with Diabetes Dining with Diabetes is a program
offered by Penn State Cooperative Extension. It will help you to understand some of the most important things you need to know about how to manage your diabetes.

Classes are offered weekly for five
weeks, with a three-month follow-up
class. Each class offers food
demonstrations and tastings, physical
activity, ideas to take home, and
discussions regarding important
information to help you manage your
diabetes. Lab tests will be offered to
measure A1c.
In addition to class handouts and test
results, participants also receive a
variety of resources, including a
complete collection of Dining with
Diabetes recipes. If you have been
told that you have Type 2 diabetes,
you will want to attend this class.
Dining with Diabetes is an approved
research project conducted by Penn
State University. Participation is
voluntary.
