HDMI - DVB-T, IPTV Modulator Signal-751 SIGNAL-751 R86751 is a multifunctional device that encodes input HDMI signal to IP stream and modulates RF signal (a set of carrier frequencies) in accordance with DVB-T standard (COFDM). The signal provided to the HDMI input can vary from SD to Full HD. The device is a single-channel modulator, which means that the output DVB-T multiplex contains one channel modulated by the source signal. Wide configuration options allow for combining the output DVB-T multiplex with existing DVB-T broadcasts distributed in the system, in a manner chosen by the administrator or investor (adjustable parameters include LCN, SID, PID, NIT). When the user needs to distribute two channels from two different signal sources, we recommend to employ two-channel model Signal-752 R86752. The source signal may come from a media player, DVR, Blu-ray, PC, STB decoder etc. So, the modulator can distribute highest quality content in DVB-T standard, via cable television installations (shared/MATV antenna systems), including professional applications in industrial /campus /hospital /commercial TV and CCTV systems. The device has HDMI, RF inputs and RF (DVB-T) plus IP outputs. The maximum output bit rate is determined by DVB-T standard (31.68 Mbps, with a maximum bit rate of the video stream of 19.5 Mbps). Another advantage of the device is the ability to provide parallel UDP/IP stream (IP multicast technology). Basic configuration settings such as output frequency, stream bitrate, the type of the modulation are performed using the buttons and display located on the front of the modulator. More advanced configuration options are available through http protocol (NMS - Network Management System). Digital signage easier than ever! Digital signage is a system which uses electronic displays and managing software t o s h o w d e d i c a t e d i n f o r m a t i o n , advertisements, news and other messages. The aim of Digital signage is to target individuals and groups of people in specific places at specific times. Such systems are used in airports, hotels, restaurants, retail outlets, service networks, etc. The digital signage content can be delivered from multimedia players, Blu-Ray players, satellite receivers, computers etc., and distributed in the network in the form of digital TV signal (DVB-T).
The core of the system is Signal-751 R86751, a multifunctional device that encodes input HDMI signal to IP stream and modulates RF signal in accordance with DVB-T standard. This RF signal can be easily distributed via
coaxial cables even to hundreds of televisions. The DVB-T channel can carry Full HD 1080p video, at a maximum bit rate of about 20 Mbps. In parallel with the RF output signal, the device provides UDP/IP stream (IP multicast technology) for Ethernet networks.
In the diagram presented below, the IP multicast stream from Signal-751 is forwarded to TP-Link access point N3253and broadcast in WiFi network. The stream can be received by personal computers, laptops, netbooks, or tablets. It is possible to configure the network in such a way that every user connecting to it is provided with the dedicated multimedia content. The solution is used in shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, guest houses, airports, train stations, universities and campuses.
