In 1886 John Haws was busy establishing the Haws Watering Can company. Meanwhile elsewhere in the world, others were beavering away in their own particular fields. The result being that it is not just Haws that celebrates its 125th Birthday in 2011. It’s a birthday

held in common with other great organisations like Mercedes Benz, Coca Cola, Wimbledon and Anchor Butter to name but four!

Plastic can guide

The basic hot dipped galvanised versions of our watering cans have been favourites for many years. However, the bright shine of a freshly dipped can will fade significantly with age and the quality of the process is very difficult to maintain on a constant basis.

For this reason we have searched for an alternative and developed our new quality finish Titanium Coloured Galva-Gard.

This system has been used to totally replace the finish on the cans in our hot dipped galvanised ranges.

The cans are still hot dipped galvanised to retain all the rust prevention and build quality advantages of the hot galvanising process. However, they are then treated with a titanium coloured lacquer coating which not only achieves a constant quality but also a great look and a silk like texture to the touch every time.

5 Litre Metal SlimcanThe modern, some might say continental, version of the Traditional Can. Designed with a single handle running from front to back, this can is best used two handed but can easily be used single-handed. Made from heavy gauge steel with a hot dip zinc galvanised coating to resist rusting. The slim design is particularly beneficial when carrying the can.Supplied with an oval all brass rose. Eight colours, aubergine, cerise, cream, duck egg blue, green, ruby, sage, and titanium coloured Galva Gard.
