The new muffler constructionI Went to Harvey Briggs Welding & Radiator shop located in Charlestown/

Ranson, West Virginia and bought some pieces of metal and I cut out the pieces with the plasma cutter

Page 8: Harman Handgrip on Digger Lever Tracks and Chain painted.

I first cut a square piece of metal and welded it into the center of

the 5 inch pipe

Page 9: Harman Handgrip on Digger Lever Tracks and Chain painted.

I next took a slug (END PIECE) and fitted it inside

Page 10: Harman Handgrip on Digger Lever Tracks and Chain painted.

I next tacked the coupling to the end plate and left a good inch inside between the end of the coupling

and the baffle plate

Page 11: Harman Handgrip on Digger Lever Tracks and Chain painted.

I screwed in the piece pf pipe to keep welding slag off the inside threads of the coupling

Page 12: Harman Handgrip on Digger Lever Tracks and Chain painted.

I next welded the inlet end in real good

Page 13: Harman Handgrip on Digger Lever Tracks and Chain painted.

Here I have welded the outlet pipe to the end plate and chucked it into the lathe so

as to hit it with a hammer and get it somewhat inline (TRUED it UP)

Page 14: Harman Handgrip on Digger Lever Tracks and Chain painted.

I have it trued up and welded but good now to spin her around and make a final good looking heavy duty

muffler
