Harbour View – and I am thrilled to be back this
year as principal of this great school. Since leaving
HVHS nine years ago I have had a variety of oppor-
tunities which have been wonderful, but no school
feels like home to me except Harbour View.
A special welcome to our new grade nine Vikings. I
hope you are excited about being part of the HVHS
family – a school community that values the diversi-
ty each of you brings.
Returning to Harbour View means that I get to be
part of a staff who provide tremendous learning
opportunities for our students, both in classrooms
and through extra-curricular activities. Even before
school has begun, staff and students have been hard
at work on the fields and on the stage preparing for
fall sports and our upcoming musical produc-
tion. The constant opportunities for all students to
discover and use their talents is such an integral part
of the HVHS experience.

school allowed me to learn and grow. I hope your experience is the same – and that you are able to Invent
Yourself Here.

Hey Vikings, welcome back!
I hope everyone had a great summer, but you’re going to have an even better school year here at HVHS!
This year we have a bunch of great new ideas as a Student Council, but we’ll still ensure that we plan our awesome annual events
such as dances and theme weeks!
For all our new grade nines out there, I would like to welcome you, on behalf of the Student Council, to our school and the Viking
family. Try not to worry too much about being in high school; you have four amazing years ahead of you to invent yourself as a true
Viking! Get involved and have fun. These are your glory years. Make the best of them!
I hope that you’re all as excited to start this year off as I am.
