On the occasion of Independence week, various activities were organized under
Har Ghar Tiranga program in Hamidia Girls’ Degree College in order to ensure the
participation of students.
The programs which were organized are as follows:-
1- Har Ghar Tiranga Awareness campaign was organized by the National Service
Scheme (NSS) on a large scale. Under this, the students encouraged the people to
hoist the flag on their houses through caps, pamphlets and slogans. There are 100
or 197 students are participated.

2- The Department of Fashion Designing and Embroidery and the Department of
Ancient History, Culture and Archeology jointly organized inter-college online
and offline essays, posters, slogans and patriotic songs at the national level from
August 10 to August 16 on the topic "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav". The biggest
achievement of this department was that in order to celebrate the glorious 75
years of India's independence, the students of Fashion Designing and Embroidery
Department stitched and distributed the national flag.

3- On 11.08.2022, the students of Medieval History Department created
awareness and respect about the flag by singing the flag song composed by Shafi
Nayyar. On the same day, 100 flags were purchased from Head Post Office,
Prayagraj and were distributed in the college by the NSS and Internal Quality
Assurance Cell (IQAC) as per the instructions of Government of India. Tirangi
Rakhi and Tirangi Salad Dressing Competition were also organized.

4- On 12.08.2022, the Department of Medieval History organized a song competition on the topic "Patriotism and Freedom Movement", and a poster and slogan competition on the topic "Har Ghar Tiranga" was organized by the Department of Sociology. There are 50 students are participated. An essay competition was organized by the Department of Education on the topic "Yaad Karo Kurbani". The National Service Scheme and Sociology Department conducted "Swachhta Abhiyan" and cleaned the college premises. There are 56 students are participated. An Essay Competition on "75 Years of Independence" was organized by the IQAC and other departments.

5- On 13.08.2022, Plantation program was organized by the National Service Scheme and IQAC in which Municipal Commissioner Shri Chandra Mohan Garg ji planted saplings under the guidance of the Principal, Professor Yusufa Nafees. The students of Medieval History Department, planted a flower plant in the name of freedom fighters. There are 46 students are participated. Medicinal plants were also planted by the Sociology Department. There are 42 students are participated. The students of National Service Scheme decorated the college campus with tiranga balloons, tiranga ribbons, flags and posters on Independence Day and sang the country devotional song "Sare Jahan Se Achcha". There are 115 students are participated.

6- On 14.08.2022, Exhibition was shown to the students on the projector as per the instructions of UGC as Partition Vibhishika Memorial Day. The Principal shared the information related to the events with the students. Safia Naaz, a student of Medieval History Department, presented the patriotic song "Shaheed Tumhe Salaam". The program ended with the national anthem. An international essay competition was organized by the Medieval History Department on the topic "Unsung Men and Women Freedom Fighters of India". There are 45 students are participated. The students of the English Department wrote an article on the topic "Trauma of Partition". The students of Sociology Department and NSS jointly visited the slum areas. The people there were informed about the importance of the tiranga by the principal. Desh Bhakti song and national anthem "Saare Jahan Se Achcha" were sung with the children. Biscuits and toffees were also distributed along with the flags among the children of slum areas. There are 25 students are participated.

7- On 15.08.2022, poetry competition on the topic "Hubbe-e-Watan", a speech and essay competition on the topic "Hindi Hain Hum" was organized by the Urdu Department. The Urdu Department along with the Alumni Association of the college "Gulistan-e-Hamidia" also organized a conference of Alumni Girls. Alumni gave 10 flags to the college, and they actively participated in the Independence Day programs. Street play on the topic "Participation of Women in the Freedom Movement: A Glimpse" was presented by the "Veerangana Toli" of Medieval History Department. An Essay competition was organized by the Department of Economics on the topic "Contribution of Mahatma Gandhi to Indian Economy" at the national level in both online and offline mode. The commerce department also organized a slogan writing competition on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Department of Hindi also organized poetry writing on the topic "Desh Prem". Dr. Zarina Begum, Associate Professor, Department of Urdu, composed a "Tarana-e-Hindi"

On this occasion students of Domestic Data Entry Operator (DDEO) prepared images of the National Flag
using MS-Paint and Photoshop.
8- On 16.08.2022, a speech competition on the topic "Women Freedom Fighters" was organized by the Department of Medieval History. An online essay competition was organized by the Department of Arabic on the topic "Tehreek-e-Azadi mein auraton ka kirdaar" on National level. A two-day national level quiz competition on the theme "Indian Economy Pre and Post Independence" was organized by the Department of Economics on 16th and 17th August.
9- On 17.08.2022, a poster competition on the topic "Freedom Movement" was organized by the Department of Medieval History. This department also organized a 15-day international quiz competition on the topic "Pictorial Quiz on Unsung Female Freedom Fighters" from August 11 to 26. On August 17, a painting exhibition had been organized by the Painting Department on the theme "Ghar-Ghar Lehrae Tiranga".

electronic media so that more and more people can enthusiastically participate in
the Har-Ghar Tiranga campaign on completion of 75th year of independence.
