Student Mass!1st, 5th and 7th Grade Students will be blessed at

the 9:00 am Mass on Sunday, November 3rd!

This year the children of St. Jude Parish will be recognized atspecial Student Masses!

These Student Masses will take place once a month at the9:00 am Mass. Different grades have been assigned to

each Mass, and Faith Formation and St. JudeSchool students from these grades will be able to have

certain roles during Mass!

After Communion, all children in these grades will be calledforward to receive a blessing.

On Sunday, December 1st at the 9:00 am Mass children in2nd, 3rd, and 6th grade will be blessed! If you have children in these grades, look for a

special email invitation soon!

2019 Giving Tree!

The season of Advent is a time of preparation in our Church. Itbegins on December 1st. One way our parish prepares for

Christmas is by helping local families in need through the GivingTree Project. In the past, the faith formation families have been a

great help. We are asking for your help again this year bydonating the following:

Sunday A: Christmas Gift Bags and tissue paperSunday B: Games for ages 8+Tuesday A: Boxed candy and nutsTuesday B: Christmas wrapping paper, gift boxes & tapeWednesday A and Families Called to TableProgram: Hygiene products for men and womenWednesday B: Games, puzzles and cards for ages 0-7

Junior High Boys: Gifts for teenage boys (some suggestions:bath & body products, hat, scarf, gloves, wallet, cologne, etc.)Junior High Girls: Gifts for teenage girls (some suggestions:bath & body products, bath bombs, nail polish, hat, scarf, gloves,scrunchies, headbands, cute water bottle, etc.)

Parents in the Families Called to Table program may attend any of the above sessions andare expected to teach all of Unit 3 at home.

First Reconciliation PreparationFamily Evenings of Reflection

Families who have children making their First Reconciliation thisyear are asked to attend an evening of reflection on either:

Tuesday, December 3rd from 6-7:30 pm ORWednesday, December 4th from 6-7:30 pm

Please choose either evening and no pre-registration is required.At least one parent is asked to attend with the child.

Reconciliation Prep counts as an Explore 4!

The First Reconciliation Service is on Tuesday, December 17thfrom 6-7:30 pm.

Children's Liturgy of the Word providesan opportunity for children to experience the

Sunday Scriptures at age-appropriateunderstanding. They actively participate inthe proclamation and hearing of the Word,

and learn about prayer and Jesus' messagein their lives.

Parents with children in Preschool through3rd grade are especially encouraged tovolunteer periodically for this ministry!

There are a lot of children, so it takes manyvolunteers to make this ministry possible.

We especially need volunteers for the11:00 am Mass!

Junior High Youth MinistryJunior High Youth Ministry

November Huddle Sessions for 7th and 8th Grade!Drop off is at Franciscan Hall Door #6, pick up is in the church.

Parents are invited to join us in the church for the last 15 minutes of the session for our closingprayer and to hear about our upcoming mission and service trip opportunities.
