Happy July!
While we have had a graduated reopening since May 3, we are happy to have the restrictions and ca-
pacity limitations lifted as of July 1
st
! Kathy has been working diligently on reforming all classes and
activities. There has been challenge in doing so as she gets in touch with all instructors, determines
who is able to return, checks with returning instructors for any potential concern/comfort level re-
garding capacity for their classes, and works out the scheduling and room/tent assignment for all of
our classes and activities. I want to recognize Kathy’s efforts on this as well as the effort and support
of this undertaking by Ann and Kim. We appreciate your continued patience and flexibility as you and
the Senior Services Team re-acclimates to life back to “normal”.
We look forward to seeing all of you back at your center and participating in the many upcoming pro-
grams, events and trips.
As always, if you have questions, ideas, input or concerns, please feel free to reach out at any time.
We value our conversations with you and continue to work to serve you to the highest level of our
abilities.
Thank you and hope to see you soon.
Warm Regards,
Tamath
We are happy to announce that beginning on Thursday July 8, 2021 we will be hosting
“Outdoor Social” Under the Tent, which will take place Tuesday through Thursday from 12pm-
1:30pm. We invite our members to come to the tent at the Senior Center to socialize with
your fellow members as well as taking on a game or two.
Chairs will be set up for your use to sit and visit. Are you feeling competitive? We will have
Corn Hole Boards, Bocce on the lawn, Connect Four and Ladder Golf set up for anyone wanting to put a
team together and enjoy the games. Bring your own refreshments.
Pre-registration is not required but we ask that you register upon arrival.
We hope to see you stop by and say hello and enjoy the weather with great company!

Welcome Back!
I am happy to welcome everyone back to the center for live in person activities. Some of our programs are
being brought back this month and some will continue to also be offered on Zoom or only on Zoom while
we make this transition. Details are in the newsletter. Please be patient and kind while we navigate our reo-
pening. Wearing a mask is not required for those who are fully vaccinated; some people may wish to contin-
ue wearing a mask for whatever reason. Either way, we do not mask shame here. You do you.
We have a fun first-time event this month, a fashion show under the tent, brought to us by the Southbury
Chico’s store! We will be having a food truck too-check out the details inside the newsletter.
Games like Mahjongg, Pinochle, and Rummikub will resume at their usual time along with Table Tennis and
Knitting. Square Dancing returns on July 23rd. Lot’s of good times ahead! We’ll end the month with a fun
celebration “Life is Good” in the park with José Paulo!
Wishing you all a fun, safe summer!
Warm regards,
Kathy
