FETE NEWS

The fete will be held on Friday 26th October, commencing at 5pm.

Pre-sale tickets

We will be selling tickets at a pre-sale counter under the COLA to avoid congestion on the night. We strongly recommend to parents to pre-purchase if you have the chance. Tickets at the pre-sale counter will NOT be sold to children. Tickets will be available for pre-sale: Thursday morning 8:45-9:25 Thursday afternoon 3:13-3:45 Friday morning 8:45-9:25 Friday - at the FETE from 5pm

Dinner options

We have a delicious BBQ available for dinner. These include: Chicken burger $7.00 Steak sandwich $7.00 Chicken kebabs (2) $4.00 Sausage sandwich $3.00 Pulled pork roll $7.00 Drinks/Water $3.00 Juice $2.00 Cash or tokens accepted.

Glow products for sale The SRC has a glow product stall. KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION Our Kindergarten orientation program commences on Monday 22nd October with a

parent session commencing at 2:30pm.

Please pass this on to any community members wishing to enrol their child at our school. Enrolment forms are available at the office.

GRIFFITH SHOW

As mentioned in our last

newsletter, Hanwood Public School

entered 41 artworks and a

scarecrow into the 2018 Griffith

Show. We are pleased to report

Stage 2 Stories 3/4CS has settled nicely into

term 4. We are looking

forward to starting our new

units in History and

Geography.

In Geography, we will be

looking at the climate and

the flora and fauna in both

Australia and China.

In History, we will study the

heritage of our diverse local

community and Australia’s

rich cultural past.

On Friday afternoons, when

we do not have assembly,

we will be doing some

coding.

We will be creating lots of

artwork this term as we have

finished music.

Library this term is on Tuesday

and Sport will be in the

morning on Fridays. We are

looking forward to golf,

hockey, gymnastics and

bootcamp.

Kindergarten News! Welcome back to Term

4! Both classes are

excited to be back and

have jumped straight

back into their learning.

Library Update!

This term KM and KB will

have library on Fridays.

Please ensure that your

child is bringing in their

library bag and

borrowing books each

week.

Sport Update!

This term sport will be on

to wear their sport

uniform (yellow shirt, blue

shorts) and please ensure

that your child has a hat

warming up. Students

that are going swimming

are to bring their

swimmers and towel to

school on Thursdays.
