YES It is GRE T being married Sheila and I have just arrived back from

our honeymoon in Florida. We had a great time at Disney World We were also

able to spend a few days at Marceline, Mo., where we visited  grandma Ozzie

and the rest of the family

    there.

I t was fun introducing Sheila to them.

We had a good vis i t and a nice rest from traveling.

Our wedding went very well, i t was special for us, haying our family

there except for Karen in China, who sent a taped song which we played

at the wedding. Everyone at the Church in Casper, at Paradise Valley

was tremendous, true brothers and sisters. All the people and friends

    hav e been

    more

    t ha n g e n e r o u s

In March and April , before the wedding,

    ling in Indiana, Michigan and Tennessee. I , ^ n •

March in behalf of two of our recrui ts for this summer, to South Africa.

We were happy to be able to speak for them. We pray that i t has helped

them in missionary plans. Churches really seem to be educated on world

wide needs. May the Lord help these churches to meet these reeds.

I am very happy and excited to announce to you that Sheila Compton and I plan to be married. Lord willingwe live, on May

you are invited to attend the wedding ceremony. Sheila and I have known each other for several years and after a lo t of

praying, seeking th e will o f the Lord we feel God s leading i n t hi s decision.

Please keep us in your prayers as we begin ou r lives together in service to th e Lord, as your co-workers. Sheila and I wil lbe in

th e States fo r a couple of years doing recruitment full time fo r Outreach International Mission. There are severa l countries

where we sti ll need teams of students to go and study and sha re the Gospel. We are well on the way with plans to enter

HUNGARY and GERMANY. It appears that RUSSIA can also be entered under student status. This is promising to be one of

    our biggest

    years in

    mission outreach.

There are countries all over the world where we need teams of missionary students. The only way we can reach the lostwith

th e Gospel is to recruit and send new workers. Churches need help from us to know th e needs and how to meet those needs.

Campus ministries and Bible Collegesneed to know the great opportunities for reaching these new open countries in Europe.

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT DAY in these changing times. Ours is an importantwork. Wewill be helping as God enables us to

    Many New Volunteers in Michigan

It was a really thrilling experienceto be with dad in the Upper Penninsula ofMichigan the lastof January when hewas the

speaker at the winter retreat. We had 160 students there from 6 Michigan universities. It was great to talk to all of these

students. Dad and I interviewed student mission volunteers all weekend. These are people who plan to go this year, Lord

willing. Wow It was so encouraging to see the enthusiasm in these young people, as they made decisions to drop personal

plans and seek the will and work ofGod in making disciples ofother nations. I spent time explaining

may feel God leading you to do. We ask for your prayers also that God will lead us to the right people to encourage toward mis

openings for youth revivals and other meetings, to share missions in any way we can. I was happy to speak at the chapel

service in San Jose Bible College in January. I t was a pleasure to share with th e faculty and students th e urgency ofmissions.

    D e a r F r i e n d s o f C h r i s t

We send you our gree- tings with much admiration and thankfulness for a l l

you have done to keep our work going* Things iiere i-i Lansing, Michigan are

doing just great. Since our last newsletter, we have finished travelling fo r

th e summer are heading into ou r f a l l schedule. The two weeks of camp in

    Oklahoma were t e r r i f i c . We had a great s t a f f ana were able to make lots of

new and promising friends All in a l l we feel that the summer was fruitful.

When we returned from the camps, we were able to spend some time with the

family* Pete and Fran came up to Lansing and i t was great to have the whole

family together again since i t

    has been

    five years since th e

    last

    family get

    together.

It was especially good for me because I have so recently joined the

family Soon after Pete and Fran went home, we saw Sonja and the team off in

Detroit, Hungary bound We sure miss her, but i t s great to have Karen here

    t o p a l a r o u n d w i t h .

Jonathan and I hav e been keeping busy catching up on our correspoifdence

and getting our files in order. We also have been travelling to Manistee

every week-end to share with the people there since they are in need of a

    minister. Jonathan has been f i l l i n g in for his dad while he was in F i j i . We

have enjoyed i t immensely. I have also been working since some of our support

    has ebbed off . I have a

    job at a theatre, and have fun t e l l i n g my co-workers

about Christ Please pray for me as I work and deal

    with them, as some of

them are really against the Bible. Anyway, Jonathan and I have been keeping

    busy and

    l o v e   t

We have enjoyed the time working with Karen as we work with the Inter

national Students. We have enjoyed th e time getting to know them, and spendi/^

time with them. We have our own   international student living with us. Lia

Pao Yang is a Hmong minister who is attending Great Lakes Bible College, three

days a week, so since he lives in Saginaw, he stays with us on the nights

that he is in. town. Lia works with the Hmong people here in Lansing, so

Jonathan and I hope that we can help Lia reach the Hmong people in our

neiahborhood. We have had a oreat time with Lia especially since he cooks us

dishes from his homeland I can's say that I like the food, but Jonathan sure

does Of course, you ail know how Jonathan likes to eat

Well since I am almost done with this newsletter, I will leave you wrt.i a

few prayer requests that Jonathan and I have.

    1) Full support so

    we

    can both

    work

    as

    full

    time

    recruiters.

    2) The Hmong people and the chance to work with them.

3 Safe travels for Jonathan as

he travels this next month. I

won't be able to go with him, because I have to work.

A ^ we c'ose ^his l^^tter, we d like to thank you all again for alx your

prayers and support and especially your friendship.
