Presentation Poster: Halloween • Show the Halloween. • Ask students what it represents. Elicit vocabulary. Listen and repeat Flashcards: Halloween • Show students the pumpkin flashcard. Say: Pumpkin. This is a pumpkin. Stick the flashcard on the board or where all students can see. Repeat until you have covered all the flashcards. • Point to the Halloween flashcards (one by one), name each one again and ask students to repeat. Then ask them to repeat it softly, then loudly and finally in a scary way. Practice Pass the witch hat Witch hat / Flashcards: Halloween • Show students the witch hat and ask them if they know what it is. Place the flashcards in the witch hat. As you place them inside, ask students to repeat the vocabulary again. Play some Halloween music and have students pass the hat around the room. Pause the music. When the music stops, the student holding the hat chooses a flashcard and identifies it. Number Student’s Book, p. 82, exercise 1 • Point out the numbers in the picture as well as the list of words. Students have to write the numbers from the words next to the corresponding picture. • Correct the exercise and ask students to identify the colours.
