On June 7th 2014, family members, friends, fans and honouredmembers welcomed Gordie Clark, Rhéal P. Cormier, JasonDickson, Dave Durepos, Nancy Morrison, and David Sull ivaninto the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame. The inducteesshared stories recounting their defining moments, cherishedmentors, and beloved supporters, each expressing in their ownway, a profound passion for sport.

While the Banquet & Induction Ceremony was originally to beheld in St. Stephen, construction of the Garcelon Civic Centerwas delayed, forcing the Hall of Fame to relocate to nearby St.Andrews. The NBSHF was happy to keep the event in CharlotteCounty and thanks the Town of St. Stephen for all their hardwork and support.

Chair of the Board of Governors, Jean-Guy Poitras announcedthat the 2016 NBSHF Induction Ceremony will be held inShippagan.

Le 7 juin 2014, la famille, les amis, les admirateurs et les membresd’honneur ont accueilli Gordie Clark, Rhéal P. Cormier, JasonDickson, Dave Durepos, Nancy Morrison et David Sullivan auTemple de la renommée sportive du Nouveau-Brunswick. Lesmembres nouvellement intronisés ont parlé de momentsdéterminants, de mentors marquants et de partisans chéris. I ls onttous, à leur façon, exprimé une véritable passion pour le sport.

Bien que le banquet et la cérémonie d’intronisation devaient avoirlieu à St Stephen, la construction du centre civique Garcelon a étéretardée, forçant le Temple de la renommée à déplacer sesactivités dans la ville voisine de St Andrews. Le TRSNB était heureuxque les activités puissent quand même avoir lieu dans le comté deCharlotte et remercie la Ville de St Stephen pour son travailformidable et son soutien.

Le président du Conseil des gouverneurs, Jean-Guy Poitras, aannoncé que la cérémonie d’intronisation 2016 du TRSNB auraitlieu à Shippagan.

This silver tankard was presented to James A. Whelpley, themanufacturer and patent holder of the Long Reach Skate, byhis employees. Whelpley invented the skates around 1870 inNew Brunswick and they quickly became famous all over thecontinent. With a blade seventeen inches long, the skates weredesigned for long distances and were often used to skatebetween Saint John and Fredericton.

Cette chope en argent a été remise à James A. Whelpley, lefabricant et titulaire du brevet des patins longue portée (LongReach Skate), par ses employés. Monsieur Whelpley a inventéces patins vers 1870, au Nouveau-Brunswick, et ils sontrapidement devenus populaires dans tout le continent.Possédant une lame de 17 pouces, les patins étaient conçuspour les longues distances et étaient souvent employés pourfaire le trajet Saint John-Fredericton.
