My name is Maria Gangsøy and I am 13 years old. I am half Indian and half Norwegian.At my spare time I play football for Skeid.

My name is Håkon Liltved. I am 13 years old and I got to Årvoll school. I’m a little over 1,80 meters tall. My favorite thing to do is listening to music and being with friends. I love to travel and seeing new places. I play volleyball for the team ‘Koll’ and learn acting on my spare time.

The Aborigines in Norway are the Sámi people. It is believed that there are about 40 000 of them in Norway. They are mainly in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia.

THE SÁMI PEOPLE

Manny people think the Sámi people are all like this, but most of them actually live in houses and uses modern technology to help them self.

Aust-Agder• About 107 000 inhabitants.

• Aust-Agder used to be a very important county. It is situated in the southern part

of the country and it is close to the sea. The county weapon is supposed to show two timber logs on the water. The timber

drift was an important income for many of the cities in the county, but there were

a lot of trading to. Now it is popular to have a cabin or summer place there, but of course there are many live there too.

Oppland• About 184 288 inhabitants.

• Oppland is a Norwegian county. It is the only county in Norway that is not facing seaside or

other countries. The county weapon displays a “silver mogop”, a flower that is commonly

found all over the county. Oppland is the most popular county among tourists after Oslo.

Troms•About 155 553 inhabitants.

•Troms is one of the counties longest north. Troms’ main incomes are fishing and farming.

Troms has another name: Romsa. It is the Sámi version of the name. The county weapon shows a

golden griffin.

Random fact: In Norway there are about 13 inhabitants per square kilometer. Which is a small number compared to Spain’s 93 inhabitants per square kilometer.
