BURLINGTON WEATHER

VERMONT: Freedom and Unity

Page 2: Hadley Burlington

Burlington is warmer than most of Vermont because it is right next to Lake Champlain. The lake warms up the air before it reaches Burlington, and when the air comes from the east over the mountains, it is also colder than New Jersey at that time because the mountains cool down the air as it comes over them. Burlington has hot and humid summers and extremely cold winters. The average snowfall is about 60 inches.

BURLINGTON

The record snowfall for burlington is 33 inches at one time.

BURLINGTON TEMPERATURE

The temperature is slowly getting

colder. From the 25th to 29th of

November there is a equal difference, but on the 14th,

the temperatures are almost equal! On the 22nd, the

low was 31 degrees less than the high.

Burlington Air Masses

Vermont gets the air masses Continental Polar (a cold, dry air mass formed on land) and Maritime Polar (a cold, wet air

mass formed over water), and every once and a while it gets a glimpse of Continental Arctic (an extremely cold air mass

formed in arctic regions).
