A small one and a half story frame house, the Arthur Brown House is two bays wide and has a pair of gabled dormers, which extend into the facade, on· its roof. In good condition, the house is an example of the type of modest dwelling often built on the alleys in the 19th century. The house faces Pennington Ave. at the corner of Freedom Alley. It is directly across the street from HA-1094, a similar modest frame dwelling. From ]j)6 until the early 1950's trains ran down Pennington Ave., then St. Clair St.
