To strengthen the working of OSTCs through coordination, Nodal Centers at each Sankul are also being established. (Ref: http://www.gtu.ac.in/circulars/14Apr/23042014.pdf) Now, from this Academic Year Gujarat Technological University has decided to reform OSTC Nodal centers as well as existing OSTCs, in which along with Facultiy Members, students should be active part of OSTCs. All OSTCs Nodal Centres are required to fill the details at: https://goo.gl/eIab8L Existing OSTCs and New Colleges, where OSTC has not yet been established and which want to establish an OSTC, are required to fill the details at: https://goo.gl/I0K0bn Kindly fill the details on or before 3 rd January 2016. After that GTU will assign a Nodal Centre for each Sankul. We are also planning to rank the OSTCs according to their Performance during the academic year (i.e 5 Star, 4 Star, 3 Star-OSTC). GTU Python Meetup Group: GTU Python User Group is a unique initiative for all Open Source Technologies Clubs to build a Python Community around their own Club. This Meet up group will help Students, Faculties, Local Python Developers, Learners, Programmers and enthusiasts of all kinds to meet under one umbrella. Strengthening of GTU Open Source Technologies Clubs (OSTC)
Gujarat Technological University has introduced Open Source Technologies Clubs (OSTC), as a part of the GTU Innovation Clubs in Colleges, since 2013 and till date 90 OSTCs have been established and various activities are going on successfully under these OSTCs, all across the State. To strengthen the working of OSTCs through coordination, Nodal Centers at each Sankul are also being established. An Open Discussion Meeting was organized on 8th January 2015 at GTU,Chandkheda Campus. Around

1. GTU celebrated 4th GTU Innovation Sankul Day on 14th February 2015, in which GTU Innovation Council presented 3rd Pedagogical Innovation Awards to OSTC Coordinators who had done excellent work under Open Source Technologies Club. 2. Open Source Software Design Competition was organized in the GTU Techfest 2015.
March 2015

2. GTU OSTC organized Two Days Awareness Event of Mozilla on 21st and 22nd March 2015, in which Mr. Mayur Patil-Mozilla Representative (ReMo) and the Regional Ambassador Lead (RAL) of India and Mr.Siddhartha Rao-Firefox Student Ambassador were invited as experts.
