    unit response by 50 to 70 percent. The speed-com-

    pensated dampening system Alcolor with the Vario

    system for preventing hickeys achieves an incredibly

    thin film of dampening solution and a consistent ink/

    water balance. Modular washup devices for the blanket

    and impression cylinders enable rapid and thoroughcleaning.

    Straightforward operation and precision control. The

    high-performance Prinect Press Center combinesthe press control system and remote color and register

    control in a single central console. When changing jobs,

    the innovative, process-oriented operator guidance

    system Intellistart draws on all relevant information

    from both the current job and the following job. While

    one job is being processed, you can already be pre-

    paring the next. The standard daylight lamp provides

    optimum illumination for the console. The press is

    depicted in cut-out profile on the integrated wallscreen

    with all functions dynamically simulated. The print

    sheet is displayed with ink zones depicted in their

    actual width. The Prinect Press Center control station

    and the Prinect Axis Control and Prinect Image

    Control color measurement systems form a single

    optimally integrated unit.

    The perfect start for productivity the Preset Plus

    Feeder. The Preset Plus Feeder is designed for high

    and reliable production speeds across the entire range

    of materials from 0.03 to 1 mm (0.0012 to 0.039 in).

    All settings are fully automatic as a function of format

    Makeready times:Presetting the entire press by entering sheet format and grammage saves up to five

    minutes on each printing stock and format change. Productivity: You achieve high production speeds of

    up to 15,000 sheets per hour and short makeready and setup times thanks to the high level of automation

    and minimum waste. Quality: The Venturi nozzle technology of the AirTransfer system transfers the sheets

    smoothly from printing unit to printing unit. Integration: Fully integrated into the Prinect workflow, you can

    benefit from the ultimate in data management at the Prinect Press Center. Environment: By reducing paper

    waste, the Speedmaster CD 102 helps safeguard valuable resources.

    The coating systems satisfy the highest coating

    requirements. A range of coating systems can be

    operated with the Speedmaster CD 102, thereby en-

    abling you to meet a wide range of surface finishing

    needs. You can choose between a two-roller system,

    the conventional chambered blade system for high-

    end gloss and spot coatings, and the Flexokit for so-

    phisticated surface finishes using special coatings

    that tend to foam. The Modular Coating System is a

    flexible chambered blade system for the final printing

    unit, which is ideal if you only occasionally need to

    apply full-area coatings.

    The dryers of the Speedmaster CD 102 deliver fast

    production times. All Heidelberg dryers are opti-

    mally geared to the press they are fitted in and to

    a whole range of applications. The dryer DryStar

    Combination, which is integrated into the delivery,

    is the ideal solution for drying coating applications.

    It combines infrared, hot-air and circulating-air mod-

    ules. Optimally attuning the drying system to the

    and touchscreen. All preset values are adopted from

    the Prinect Press Center, which cuts your makeready

    times significantly. The unique powder spray device

    PowderStar AP 500 delivers efficient powder

    application. The process air cleaning system

    CleanStar minimizes the accumulation of dust

    and odors at the press.
