campground guidelinescampground guidelinesThe Great Divide team is committed to ensuring the satisfaction of our short-term and seasonal guests. To achieve this goal, we ask that you adhere to posted speed limits and abide by local and state laws while enjoying the campground. In addition, we request that you observe the following guidelines during your stay:
1. For the consideration of all guests, please maintain posted campground quiet hours (11 PM to 8 AM
2. Great Divide campsites are designed to be spacious and accommodating. Please respect your neighbor’s property and space by limiting your group’s activities to the boundaries of your assigned campsite.
3. There is no smoking in, on, or within a 15 foot radius of any campground building or structure. Including: the pool, offi ce, pavilion, barn, playground, gazebo, beach, bathrooms, laundry room and dog park.
4. To preserve the beauty of our space for future visitors, please practice low-impact camping. This includes respecting the natural environment, protecting area plants, avoiding the disturbance of nearby animals, properly disposing of waste—and leaving campsites and common areas as tidy as you found them. No cutting of trees or vegetation. 5. Low and contained campfi res (3x3x3) are permitted unless NJ state restrictions are imposed due to dry weather. To assure guest safety, campfi res must be attended at all times. Please use fi rewood that originates from the campground in order to protect our trees from invasive pests. Campfi res must be extinguished by 12 AM.
6. No swimming in the lake. Swimming is limited to the pool, only. Campers, families and guests must wear lifejackets while using paddle boats on the lake. There is no fi shing permitted from paddle boats. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult on paddle boats and in pool area.
7. Please treat the campground with courtesy by utilizing designated recycling containers and disposing of all garbage in our conveniently located dumpsters (near the campground entrance). The safe storage of garbage also helps to protect your family and neighbors from bears!
8. To keep guests and pets safe, please keep all animals attended and on-leash. For easy pet cleanup, please utilize the pet waste receptacles provided throughout the campground. Dogs are not permitted in or on any campground structures. For more specifi c campground guidelines regarding pets, stop by our offi ce or talk with a Great Divide staff member.
9. We encourage you to fi sh from the shore in designated areas only! For their safety, children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Please use plastic containers to carry your bait. Remember, fi shing is limited to catch-and-release—so we can continue to provide fi shing enjoyment for future campers.
10. For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, please enjoy alcohol responsibly and remain in control while on the campground. Great Divide management reserves the right to ask guests to leave the property if they display inappropriate conduct. Please do not use glass containers in pool area.
11. It is our goal to make Great Divide a family-friendly camping facility. To assist with this, please supervise children at all times. Parents and family members are responsible for the actions and safety of their children and guests.
12. Daily visitors are welcome at the Great Divide, but please ensure that they exit the property by 10 PM. If daily visitors would like to stay the night, kindly have them stop by the offi ce to pay the nightly fee.
