Not recommended distances When the distance to the monitor is too short, summing of sound from multiple drivers is not happening as designed, and this affects the flatness of the frequency response. A flatter and more stable frequency response is obtained at a larger distance. 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 97 92 94 89 93 88 90 85 89 84 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 97 96 94 93 92 91 89 88 88 87 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 101 95 98 92 96 90 93 87 92 86 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 101 98 98 95 96 93 93 90 92 89 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 105 97 102 94 100 92 97 89 96 88 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 106 100 103 97 101 95 97 91 96 90 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 111 102 108 99 106 97 102 93 101 92 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 112 103 109 100 107 98 103 94 101 93 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 114 104 110 100 108 98 104 94 103 93 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 114 104 100 100 100 98 100 94 100 93 110 100 109 99 104 94 103 93 112 102 107 97 105 95 116 111 110 105 108 103 120 115 113 108 111 106 124 119 118 113 114 109 105 95 107 102 110 105 113 108 105 96 Short-term sound pressure levels Maximum short-term sine wave sound pressure level averaged from 100 Hz to 3 kHz, measured in half-space, on-axis (no weighting). Long-term sound pressure levels Maximum long-term RMS sound pressure level, measured in half-space, on-axis, with simulated programme signal according to IEC 60268-5 (limited by driver unit protection circuit, no weighting).
