This Page has the general configuration information that is needed to setup a

Mobile Device

Server version: Microsoft Exchange Server 2016

Exchange Settings

Server Address: outlook.office365.com

Username/Email Address

First name.Last [email protected]

Ex: John S. Smith = [email protected]

Legacy Username Configuration (In case of authentication issues during setup)

Ex: \[email protected]

All current versions Google Android phone platform support Exchange, albeit all Android

devices do not have the same interface so subtle changes of the following steps may be needed

for different Android phones. For help on these varied user interfaces please contact your local

Campus Technology Assistant for further assistance. This guide was made using Android 4.4

1. Tap on the Application Menu button as shown.

2. Tap on the Settings App as shown.

3. Scroll down until you see “Add Account” and tap as shown.

4. Tap the “Corporate” option as shown.

5. Enter in the email account information such as example shown then Tap “Next”.

6. Tap the “Exchange” option in the next window as shown.

7. The device will now begin to authenticate your account credentials and then you will be

prompted to allow server security administration as shown: Tap “Ok” as shown.

8. If the account does not authenticate, more information such as the legacy username

and domain may be needed, then tap “Next” to continue.

9. When the account has successfully authenticated the next window as shown will

appear, check all sync options as preferred by the user and tap “Next”.

10. In the next window, label the account as desired and tap “Next”.

11. Finally, on the next window tap “Activate” and the Exchange Account is all setup for

usage on the Android device.

Apple’s Premier Mobile Device Operating System that is utilized on iPhones, iPods, and iPads.

All versions of iOS support Exchange integration. This guide was made using iOS 7.

1. Tap on the “Settings” app as shown

2. Scroll down and tap “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” as shown

3. Tap “Add Account” as shown.

4. Tap “Exchange” as shown.

5. Enter in the email account information such as the example shown. Then tap “Next”.

6. If the account does not authenticate, more information such as the legacy username

and domain may be needed, then tap “Done”.

7. Once the account has been authenticated you will be prompted for sync preferences,

choose as many as desired to sync and tap “Save”.

8. Your Exchange mail is now setup on your iOS device!

Windows Phone 8 is Microsoft’s new smartphone OS composed of an active tile/metro

interface. It has native Exchange support built-in. This guide was made using the latest

Windows Phone 8 update

1. Scroll down and tap the “Settings” tile on the home screen, or alternatively tap the

right arrow and scroll down till you see the “Settings” app

2. Tap “email+accounts”

3. Tap “add an account”

4. Tap “Outlook”

5. Enter in the email account information such as the example shown and tap “sign in”

6. If the account does not authenticate, more information such as the legacy username

and domain may be needed, then tap “sign in”

7. Once the account has fully authenticated you will be prompted to download the

Lync client if desired. Otherwise tap “done” as shown. Your Windows Phone 8 is now

configured for exchange!
