OUR RESPONSE
STAGES OF EMERGENCY RESPONSE
For TECHO, the interests of the affected families as well as those of the communities as a whole are at the heart and center of our work. The response to this emergency is no exception, and the way we plan to execute it consists of:
1. Community Information Survey [Conducted by Volunteers, Allied Organizations and Neighbors]
2. Creation of Inventory and Database of Communities.
3. Prioritization of Communities based on data
4. Collection of Family Information.
5. Validation and Assignment of Beneficiary Families.
6. Signing of Construction Commitments
7. Community and Individual Workshops for Beneficiaries
8. Construction [Between a month and a half to two months of response]
9. Subsequent Evaluation.
RESPONSE PLAN
With the endorsement of CONRED and the Social Department of the First Lady (SOSEP), TECHO will continue working on the collection and classification of information for the creation of the final report on the situation.
1 Gathering of information
TECHO will manage and execute the construction of 250 TEMPORARY HOUSING MODULES, that will serve 1000 families. These will have the objective of housing families during the permanent relocation process.
2 Temporary Housing Module
Management and execution of the "Comunidad Fénix" project. This project seeks to generate a comprehensive and permanent community for the 1,000 families in a temporary housing situation.
TECHO will be in charge of the social management of the relocation of the families, in the Finca La Industria, taking a close process with the neighbors.
3Social Management for Permanent Relocation
In order to guarantee the welfare of the families, and aiming to making them a part of the organization of the permanent project, a CITIZENS AUDIT will be executed with the intention of making all the project's parts transparent.
