Supervisors and managers have tremendous influence on creating high levels of workforce engagement, employee performance and talent retention – key aspects of leading organizations. The knowledge, skills and abilities to manage others is not intuitive, and for all but a few, does not come naturally. This highly interactive Management Certificate Program provides a powerful first step toward building management capabilities that will enable supervisors and managers to improve performance, productivity and employee satisfaction within GTRI. The GTRI Talent Management Department has launched this innovative program with eight required modules to be completed within an 24‐month period from the date of enrollment.

Target Audience: Supervisors and ManagersTotal Program: 30 hours

Note: Assumes 4 hours for the GTRI Financial Acumen module and 2 hours for the new content for the Compensation module.

The Georgia Institute of Technology announced May 14 the hiring of Dr. Andrew Gerber as the new director of the Georgia Tech Research Institute and senior vice president of Georgia Tech.

Gerber comes to the Institute from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory where he has served as associate head of the Air and Missile Defense Technology Division responsible for programs in air and ballistic missile defense.

GTRI’s Compliance Assurance Program was established in January 1998 to provide an organizational framework for compliance with new regulations and policies due to our transition to FAR 31.2 cost accounting.

Today the GTRI Ethics and Compliance Office (ECO) underscores our commitment to ethical conduct and provides an organizational framework for compliance. ECO helps protect and maintain the reputations of GTRI, the Georgia Tech Applied Research Corporation, and Georgia Tech at large for ethics and integrity in business and research. ECO strives to promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout GTRI.
