Families are welcomed to join faculty, students, and administration for this special chapel. From 1986-2019, Mr. Emerson served the Church and the School, providing music for chapel, seasonal events, and the education of children. He passed away on February 7 due to complications associated with his battle with cancer. Later today, the Church will offer a Requiem Eucharist at 11 a.m. followed by a reception in Trezevant Hall. Campus Parking RemindersAll families and visitors to GSL are asked toremember the importance of observing all postedparking signs. This is especially important duringdrop off in the morning and pick up in theafternoon.
This is equally important when a special eventtakes place on campus or at the church. Whenattending an event at the Anchor Center, like theupcoming Middle School Art Show Reception onFebruary 25, guests are encouraged to park onLemaster on the west side of the Anchor Center,or in the parking lot located at the southwestcorner of Peabody and Belvedere.
A special note regarding parking at GSL todayPlease do not park in the circle drive area near theLower School entrance, or in the parking lot today,February 18, so the church can accommodateattendees to Mr. Emerson's funeral. Yourcooperation is greatly appreciated!
