Sign Up For Scouting (SUFS)• Our biggest recruitment effort for new girl and

adult members!

• Girl Scout representatives visit schools to talk to girls about Girl Scouting.

• Sign-up events for new girls and their families.

• Why? The more members we have, the more resources we have to deliver Girl Scouting!

Volunteer Application Process

• Beginning this year, all volunteers will need to resubmit their application and authorization for background check every three years.

• This is for the safety and security of the girls!

• You will receive notification to resubmit your application after three years.

• If you know it’s been more than 3 years, please go online and fill out the application.Link: http://kansasgirlscouts.org/volunteer-application/

Online Registration• Parents can register their daughters and/or troops can

register their members ONLINE.

• Troop Leaders can also look up rosters from the online system!

• Note for Troop Leaders: if you register or re-register troop members through the online system, please continue to collect a paper registration form with a parent/guardian signature for girl registrations, and an adult's own signature for adult registrations.  Indicate on the form that the registration has been submitted online.  These forms can be turned in to your closest GSKH office or mailed directly to the Wichita Girl Scout Center.

Leadership Conferences• October 13, 2012:  North Central Leadership Conference - Salina

• October 20, 2012:  2nd Annual Southwest Leadership Conference - Garden City

• November 3, 2012: 3rd Annual Northwest Leadership Conference - Sternburg Museum, Hays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• January 5, 2013: 3rd Annual S'mores University - Southeast Leadership Conference - Wesley United Methodist Church, Parsons from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Staff and volunteers are gearing up for an amazing series of conferences for volunteers across the council in 2012-13!

Wichita: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday

Hays, Salina, Emporia, Garden City: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
