DISCUSSION QUESTIONS 1. Josh started by talking about refrigerator rights, the permission a few people have to come into your house and dig into your refrigerator for food. Who has refrigerator rights in your life? Why? How would you react if a stranger tried to come in without permission and raid your fridge? 2. Read John 14:22. Judas’ question is still a legitimate one today. Why doesn’t God openly reveal Himself to the world? Think about it in your life and in the lives of those you know. Has there ever been a time when God revealed Himself to you but you weren’t ready to receive Him? If God revealed Himself at the half time show of this year’s Super Bowl, would everyone automatically believe? 3. The third step to spiritual growth is “obey with humble faith.” What were times in your life when you didn’t obey God? Why didn’t you? What held you back? 4. Josh talked through three reasons obedience is important and three ways obedience helps you grow spiritually (Message Notes). Talk through them as a group. Which one jumps out at you and why? Which one has impacted your life? 5. Read 2 Corinthians 5:18. A way to obey God is reconcile someone (either people with people or people with God). Who is someone in your life that God may be calling you to reconcile? NEXT STEP As a group, talk through an area of obedience that you know you need to follow through in your life.
