    Jesus Calls the First Disciples

18 While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, cas?ng a net into the sea, for they were shermen. 19 And he said to them, Follow me, and I will make you shers of men.[a] 20 Immediately they leL their nets and followed him. 21 And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them. 22 Immediately they leL the boat and their father and followed him.

  • DOG CHRISTIANS: Loyal, always happy to see you, follow closely, love their master no ma#er what, eager to learn, easy to train, full of energy, respond to commands, happy to play, just want to be with you, moSvated by love, mans best friend. Will bark at and ght threats to their households security. Quick to forgive. Come when you call. Want to do what their master wants to do. At your service. Tireless and hard-working

CAT CHRISTIANS: Aloof, much potenSal, untrained, come close when they want food or stroking - then gone again, use their intelligence for disobedience, quiet & conniving, charming, found where they're comfortable and warm, don't come when they're called - come when they feel like it, needs to be the darling, moody. Easily perturbed, judgmental. Quick to be annoyed. Want to do what they want to do. Self-serving. Sleepy and Lazy.

  • Hebrews 13

7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings 17 Have condence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benet to you.

  • 1 Peter 3:15-16 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

2 Timothy 4:2 2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encouragewith great pa?ence and careful instruc?on.
