Sherlock Holmes 17 October 2014 – 12 April 2015

This year the Museum of London welcomes an exciting new exhibition, delving into the mind of the world’s most famous fictional detective; Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. Asking searching questions such as who is Sherlock Holmes, and why does he still conjure up such enduring fascination, this major exhibition – London’s first on the detective since 1951 – will explore how Sherlock Holmes has transcended literature onto stage and screen and continues to attract huge audiences to this day.Museum of London Group rate £8.75 per person

Bridge27 June – 2 November 2014

Bridge is the largest art exhibition ever to be staged at the Museum of London Docklands. Drawing on the museum’s significant art collections, the exhibition will feature rarely seen contemporary and historical artworks, and historical artworks, alongside photography and film, to consider the significance of bridges within London’s landscape. From Hungerford to Blackfriars, Westminster and Millennium, Bridge also looks at how London’s bridges allow people to move around and experience the city. Museum of London Docklands FREE

Getting here and coach parkingThe Museum of London Archaeological Archive is located in the heart of East London, on Eagle Wharf Road. The site is located 10 minutes’ walk from Old Street underground and overground and Angel or a 15 minutes’ walk from Hoxton and Essex Road overground. Metered parking is available on Eagle Wharf Road and the surrounding streets. Coach or minibus parking is possible in front of the building by prior arrangement. Please enquire about coach or minibus parking at the point of booking.
