You will be working as a part of a team of a dozen students. You will be evaluated on

Water is a very wide theme and your teacher will help you get directed
to a specific area.

What is Planning?3. Planning:1. The planning phase may involve a couple of sessions.2. Action plan must have - what is to be done? how is to be
done? Why is it to be done? AND Who has to do it? The progress must be recorded in a blog which should be accessible to the team members and the concern group teacher.3. The experiments must be clearly planned.4. Remember to video or photograph even the planning
session so that your final presentation shows all stages.

Experiment?4. Experimental work:Group 4 project has to be experimental in nature. It is important to bear in mind that all experiments
must be completed in about 3 cycles.For all experiments risk evaluation must be done given
to the Lab technicians before the experiment. The form is available on KISNET-Science.
All requisites for the experiments or any field trip plans MUST be given to Mrs. Ruby or Mr. Shereef by 28th February, 2013.

How do I go about?5. Final Group discussion:Group 4 project culminates with a final group
discussion. During this time findings of all members are put together. Each student develops a ‘research paper’ which is to
be turned in to your subject teacher.The photographs/video recordings are put
together to make the final presentation.

How do I go about?6. Presentation:The presentation should be of a maximum of 7
minutes. It may include a short speech, simulation, role play, a demo, video
clippings.The important issue is to convey your findings
clearly and effectively. NOT just loud music.Presentations decides awards.

What are the criteria for presentation evaluation?6. Presentation:A. The presentation should represent collective work.B. The presentation should be scientifically sound.C. It should be interdisciplinary showing work being
done in all subject areas – Physics, Chemistry Biology & Computer.
D. It should be of a maximum of 7 minutes.E. Quality of presentation – audio and visual.

the Science web page which will take you to the self assessment form. A self assessment form should be turned in to your supervisor at the end of Group 4 project.

of your semester grade you will develop a ‘research paper’. This has to be turned in to your subject teacher. (ex. A Chemistry student will have to turn in to his/her Chemistry Teacher.)
